PU Science
Science is the only stream that gives an opportunity to the students to switch streams if they so desire. Hence a science student also has the option of taking up careers in commerce and humanities if they wish to afterwards. This gives a Science student plethora of opportunities and career options after II PUC Science.
The two combination PCMB and PCMC prepares students to enter a host of specialized Science, Technology, Design, Manufacturing and Management career oriented Graduation and Post-graduation courses.
Strong foundation to scientific understanding and analysis is laid through theory and practical sessions.
Excellent labs with modern apparatus invite pupils to understand concepts through experimentation and observation.
Application of science concepts in real life, industry visits and on-field case studies are part of activities in the Science Clubs to encourage students to get firsthand experience of theory in practice.

The Department of Commerce was started at NSVK PU college. It aims to build key competencies such as liking for numbers and data analysis, business acumen, understanding of basics of economics etc. among its students. The faculty consists of a team of excellent teachers who have many years of proven experience. They are also proficient in adopting the latest teaching methodology to ensure the best practices are inculcated in the teaching-learning process. We aim to provide all-round exposure to the students in preparation for their Graduation courses. In this direction, we conduct various departmental events such as debates, quiz programs, current affairs discussion forum, participation in inter-school departmental fests etc.

LIBRARY & INFORMATION CENTRE
With education as our focus at AVK, we obviously adore our library just as in the pre-internet times. Though, now-a-days people may not be as reliant upon brick-and-mortar libraries, even in the digital era, we had no trouble finding dozens of interesting & fascinating collections, and our Principal takes personal interest to make sure that the collections are exclusive & exhaustive.
The library’s holdings for PU department include 1784 volumes, 1300 titles, 200 CDs/DVDs, 5 National Journals and International Journals, and 6 different newspapers
The Library is around 1500sft with a reading room of 800sft and a seating capacity of 80. We have 20 PCs and reprographic facility and the library is open between 8.30 a.m to 5.30 p.m, on all days except Sundays. The online digital library is 24×7 enabled.
INFRASTRUCTURE
Curricular and Co-curricular
- AVK Group of Institutes has excellent physical infrastructural facilities to aid effective teaching and learning. Campus is spread over a sprawling 1 acre of land and has spacious facilities with adequate resources, proper lighting, ventilation and seating arrangements to support curricular and co-curricular activities amidst a beautiful landscaped garden.
- A well furnished Seminar Hall/ Audio-Visual room with an area of 1500sft and a seating capacity of 150. It has a small refreshment room, a recording room and LCD, collar mikes, video conferencing facility and a smart board.
- A spacious Computer Lab is equipped with 20 computers, printers, scanners, white board, server and internet enabled and encompasses an area of 1500sft.
- Classrooms are spacious, ventilated and well lit with ergonomically designed seats, LCD, dais and podium.
- The Library is adequately equipped with a high speed internet, large number of books, journals, and magazines and has a reading area for 80 students covering an area of 229.2 sq mts.
- Each faculty is provided with a workstation, internet enabled computer and adequate space for storage.

- The students get an option to choose between a twin sharing room and a triple sharing room.
- The rooms have unlimited high speed WiFI and house-keeping facilities. To ensure the safety of our students, the hostels have full-time wardens, CCTV monitoring.
EXTRA CURRICULAR
AVK infrastructure supports the conduct of extra-curricular activities such as sports, outdoor and indoor games, and cultural activities.
- Sports and Outdoor Games : AVK has a playground to facilitate throw ball, volley ball, badminton and kabaddi matches. We hire a Ground in the vicinity for the cricket tournaments.
- Indoor Games : There is a student recreation room to facilitate indoor games like carrom, chess and table tennis.
- Auditorium : We have the state-of-the-art auditorium with a seating capacity of 150. It is used for conducting inter-collegiate competitions and cultural activities.
- Health & Hygiene : The campus houses a medical room with a full time campus doctor and an attendant. The medical room is equipped with a stretcher, bed, Intravenous facility, basic medicines and all other first aid facilities
